Traditionally, banners have been used by churches for processions, either inside or outside of the church building.


Traditionally, banners have been used by churches for processions, either inside or outside of the church building. This has recently changed as more and more churches are using banners as parts of temporary displays, both inside the church on walls and pillars and outside to draw attention to special events. A great example of this new use of church banners is in the Liverpool R.C. Cathedral where banners are created by a resident artist.
